The Office of Community Services' goal is to coordinate projects that benefit the Lake Charles area. The Office of Community Services partners with governments and organizations to coordinate educational, social, artistic, and cultural programs, and improve the enjoyment of life for the community.
The Mayor's Office and the Office of Community Services appoint a number of boards and commissions in order to better serve our citizens and community. Please visit the sites to the left to learn more about each topic, board, or commission.
The
Community Development Division is administered through the Office of Community Services'. It offers a variety of programs that contribute to neighborhood revitalization within the City of Lake Charles. Also administered through this office is the Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnership Program funding through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), in order to benefit low and moderate-income residents.
