Rental Information

All City of Lake Charles Community Recreation Centers can be rented for the following:

  • Private Parties;
  • Reunions;
  • Public Meeting;
  • Practices & Rehearsals;
  • Seminars, Classes, & Workshops;
  • Baby Showers;
  • Funeral Dinners; and
  • Health Fairs.   
 
Click the "Center Rental Use Agreement" to obtain the form for use and keep in mind the following restrictions:
 
1.  Contact the Recreation and Parks Department at least two weeks in advance at
    (337) 491-1280 prior to filling out the form to verify the availability of the community
    center;
2.  Download the form and fill it out completely;
3.  Bring the completed form to the Recreation office (on the 3rd floor of City Hall); also be
     prepared to put down, at minimum, a 10% deposit in order to hold the facility;

The procedure for renting a facility is as follows:

  • Renter must complete a "Center Rental Use Agreementat the Recreation Departments main office two weeks prior to the scheduled event.  The Recreation Department business office is open from 8:00a.m. to 4:30p.m. Monday - Friday.   Rental  "Use Agreements" can be faxed or mailed to renter upon request.
  • Renter must completely pay for the rental of the facility seven days prior to the events.  The payment is non-refundable.  Any rental not paid in full seven days prior to the scheduled event will be canceled.
  • Renter must also pay a $95.00 clean up deposit in the form of a check or money order when rental payment is made.  The deposit is refundable by mail or pick up from the Recreation Department under the condition that the facility is cleaned after the function.
  • Community Center game room equipment or board games are not included in the rental fee.
  • Table and chairs on site are available for use.  Any additional tables or chairs is the responsibility of the renter.  The number of tables and chairs vary at each location.
  • The renter is responsible for the set up and take down after scheduled event.

 Alcoholic beverages are not permitted under any circumstances.
