Water
The Water Division of the Public Works Department is responsible for the production, treatment and distribution of all water supplied to the citizens of Lake Charles from its' six water treatment plants. We presently have approximately 420 miles of water mains, 2,400 fire hydrants and provide service to approximately 29,000 households and businesses. In addition, all service work, meter reading and maintenance of water lines and facilities is performed by this division.
