Maintenance Garage

The Maintenance Division is responsible for fueling, preventive maintenance, and repair of all emergency fire equipment, staff vehicles, service vehicles, fire station emergency generators, and fire suppression tools/equipment. This division provides around-the-clock, on-call mechanics for emergency repair of fire equipment.

 
Under the direction of Master Mechanic Terry Young and his skilled staff, the Maintenance Division provides technical data and writes specifications for new equipment and major components for the fire equipment restoration program. This section also assists in reviewing bids to determine bidders meeting specifications. One important function of this department is to maintain a parts inventory to help in providing a minimum of downtime for equipment. Maintenance personnel are responsible for service and repairs on department fleet of vehicles, including all first line response vehicles, administrative and support vehicles, as well as a fleet of reserve vehicles.
