Planning and Research

The Research and Statistical Analysis division assists the Fire Chief in researching, planning and coordinating fire department operations with an emphasis on estimating fire ratings in accordance with the Property Insurance Association of Louisiana (PIAL).   The primary goal of the Research and Statistical Analysis is to provide the Fire Chief and his administrative staff with the most accurate and current data and information possible upon which management and operational decisions are based. The division accomplishes this goal by managing the data collection process for quality, providing access to routine data through standard reports, and conducting specialized research and analysis as needed.
