Public Works
The Department of Public Works is one of the city's largest operating entities, employing over 300 people.
Public Works is responsible for maintaining and servicing the City of Lake Charles' street and drainage systems, all city owned buildings and vehicles, and treatment and collection of waste water.
Public Works also provides the highest quality service in the areas of water treatment, distribution, production, and solid waste collections. The municipal Transit system is also under the Public Works Department.

- Trash for pick up
- Violations to City Ordinances
