Beach Sweep is a worldwide environmental project which is coordinated through the Ocean Consevancy's International Coastal Clean-up.The event is held on the third Saturday in September. Volunteers collect litter from the region's coast, inland waterways, and shorelines. Those volunteers with boats and jet skies are welcome to collect in areas that cannot be accessed by land.
