Tools Continue to be Needed for Rebuilding
Millennium Park Community-Build
The Rebuilding Millennium Park Tools Committee continues its need for tools for the Millennium Park community-build, which begins on Wednesday, October 26.
Individuals/organizations can drop off tools at the Millennium Park community-build site Monday, October 24, and Tuesday, October 25, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. The drop off location will be at the west entrance to the temporarily closed section of Bord du Lac Dr. next to the Arcade Amphitheatre.
Someone will be at the site at the appointed hours to receive the tools, which will be labeled with the owner's name. The tools can be picked up after the community-build is complete on Sunday, November 6.
All tools are welcome, but the items most needed are: compound miter saws and chop saws; 3/8 inch electric heavy duty drill, corded or cordless with a battery and charger; 7 to 7 1-2 inch circular heavy duty skill saw; 50 foot and 25 foot extension cords; 25 foot measuring tape; orbital jigsaws; 36 inch levels; six inch speed square; and OSHA approved heavy duty step ladders.
