On Saturday, April 25, the City of Lake Charles, Lake Charles Mid-City Transformation, Simon and Urban Strategies, Inc. (USI) will team up to host Mid-City In Motion Day from 10 a.m. – noon in the green space behind Prien Lake Mall (496 West Prien Lake Rd.).
This free event will feature opportunities for attendees to engage in fun activities while learning more about projects coming to Mid-City through the Mid-City Transformation. Resident voices are important to developing parks and green space, opportunity hubs and placemaking. This event will offer the community the opportunity to help shape this initiative by lending their voices to these planning efforts.
A ticket is required for entrance and can be obtained by scanning the QR code included with this release or visiting Mid-City in Motion Day Tickets, Saturday, Apr 25 from 10 am to 12 pm | Eventbrite [eventbrite.com].
The planning committee is currently seeking volunteers to assist with this event. Anyone interested in participating as a volunteer is asked to contact City of Lake Charles Assistant Director of Community Services Hannah Veazey by emailing hannah.veazey@cityoflc.us.
