Epic Adventure Summer Camp is open to children ages 5-10 with limited space available at each site. Cost is $350 for the 8-week camp. This price includes two t-shirts and breakfast and lunch daily.
Epic Adventure Summer Camp will run from June 1 through July 24, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Camp will not be held on Friday, June 19 or Friday, July 3, due to City-observed holidays.
Each week, campers will embark on a new adventure with weekly themes set to include the following: To Infinity and Beyond, Rising Stars, Wild about Wildlife, Cleared for Takeoff, Party in the USA, H2Woah!, Lights, Camera, Action and The Great STEM-pede.
Site locations include Bellard Community Center (2808 Hillcrest Dr.); College Oaks Community Center (3518 Ernest St.); Henry Heights Community Center (801 East School St.) and Donald Ray Stevens Community Center (1619 Cessford St.).
New this year, camp t-shirts will be mandatory Monday through Friday. Additional camp t-shirts can be ordered at the time of registration. The cost is $10 per shirt.
Thanks to the generous support of Phillips 66, Epic Adventures Summer Campers will have the opportunity to participate in swim days to encourage water safety and youth education on the navigation of pools. Swim days are optional and transportation is provided by Calcasieu Parish School bus drivers. Swim days come at no additional charge to campers.
A parent meeting will be held the week of May 18-21, and parents will receive more information upon the completion of registration.
