The City of Lake Charles Partners in Parks Initiative is teaming up with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries for a Fishing for Fun in the Park Event on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 10 am – noon. This free, interactive event will take place at Riverside Park, located at 1701 Fitzenreiter Rd.
Attendees will have the opportunity to get first-hand fishing lessons and learn more about the fish and other native species that call Riverside Park and the Calcasieu River home. Games, prizes, refreshments and more are sure to make this event fun for the entire family.
