Interviewing Skills to be Topic of Discussion at Next Teen Connection Seminar

On Thursday, October 18, students will receive practical tips and techniques needed to ace their next interview. Make an Impression: Successful Interviewing Techniques will teach students how to make a great impression so they can go from being good on paper to being the top all-around candidate.

The seminar will take place from 5-6 p.m. at Cpl Donald Ray Stevens Recreation Center (formerly Goosport), located at 1619 Cessford St.

In October 2017, the City of Lake Charles began hosting “Teen Connection” for teenagers, 13 to 18 years old, in Calcasieu Parish. This fall September, October and November sessions, held on the first and third Thursday of each month, will take place at Cpl. Donald Ray Stevens Recreation Center. The December sessions (December 6 and 13) will take place at the Ward 3 Recreation Huber Park Community Center, located at 2401 4th Ave.

“Teen Connection” is designed to help teenagers learn job skills, college prep, social media, interview skills, and ACT prep among others. The classes are instructed by educators, government officials, and business leaders in the community.
