Water Outage Planned for Some Common Street Area Customers
The City of Lake Charles Water Division has scheduled a planned water outage beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14, to allow for repairs to a 12-inch valve and a pair of 2-inch valves recently damaged by contractors working in the area.
The affected areas are as follows:
- Center Street, between Tulane Street and College Manor
- Harvard Street, between Gayle and Tulane Streets
- Madeline Street, between Common and Harvard Streets
- Auburn Street, between Tulane Street and College Manor
- Gayle Street, between Common and Kirkman Streets
- College Manor, between Common Street and College Heights
- College Heights between College Manor and Gayle Street
The planned outage is expected to affect approximately 150 customers and weather permitting, is expected to be complete by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14.
Officials with the City of Lake Charles Water Division do expect to issue a boil advisory for the area once water service is re-established. The impacted customers will be notified by Water Division personnel and through additional releases to local media outlets.
