The Resident Resource Center at Henry Heights Recreation Center, 801 East School St., remains open to the public. The Center will be open Saturday, October 24, Tuesday, October 27 and Thursday, October 29, with the hours of 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. each day.

Last month Mayor Nic Hunter and the City of Lake Charles teamed up with Commissioner Jim Donelon and the Louisiana Department of Insurance to open the Resident Resource Center, allowing residents the opportunity to speak one-on-one with representatives from the Louisiana Department of Insurance’s (LDI) Office of Consumer Advocacy and Diversity.

Representatives from LDI are able to help residents understand the terms of their insurance policies, provide insight on the claim filing and adjusting process, and more.

If a resident is unable make it in person to Henry Heights Recreation Center, this assistance is also available from LDI by calling 800-259-5300.

Due to State of Louisiana COVID-19 mandates, social distancing, mask wearing and capacity limitations will be enforced to ensure compliance with current statewide orders.
