According to City Administrator John Cardone, all City of Lake Charles administrative offices and services, including City Hall, will be closed during regular business hours on Friday, February 19, 2021. The closure is due impacts from the recent winter storms.  

Services are scheduled to resume on Monday, February 22, 2021.

Transit operations will be suspended during this time. 

Garbage, cart contents only, collection has resumed. Tuesday routes will be picked up on Friday, February 19. Thursday and Friday routes will be collected on Saturday, February 20. Every effort will be made to collect all of Friday's normal pickups on Saturday, however, if crews are unable to complete the route, they will do a makeup pass on Monday, February 22.

City of Lake Charles Water Division Customers are reminded that there is currently a precautionary boil water advisory in place due to low pressure. This advisory will remain in place until further notice. Customers are asked to continue to conserve water and turn off any running faucets as we work to rebuild pressure throughout the system. Crews are out identifying and valving off water leaks throughout the City. If you see a water leak, please report it by calling 491-1483, 491-1441 or 491-1346.
