Public Services

The City of Lake Charles supports local nonprofit organizations through Public Service Grant funding designed to strengthen our community and improve quality of life for residents.

Public Service Grants help fund programs that address critical community needs such as:

  • Emergency assistance and basic needs support

  • Homelessness prevention and housing stability

  • Youth development and mentoring programs

  • Services for seniors and individuals with disabilities

  • Workforce development and financial stability programs

  • Family support services

Through these partnerships, the City invests in organizations that provide direct services to Lake Charles residents, ensuring resources reach individuals and families who need them most. These grants allow community partners to expand services, enhance programming, and continue making a meaningful difference throughout the year.

Contact the Community Services Department for more information on this annual grant cycle.
