The City of Lake Charles is in the process of developing an Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice and Consolidated Plan that will establish community development goals and resource allocations.  The Plans will cover the program years of 2020-2025.  We invite you to assist the City of Lake Charles in establishing community needs and priorities.

The Office of Community Services' goal is to coordinate projects that benefit the Lake Charles area.  The Office of Community Services partners with governments and organizations to coordinate educational, social, artistic and cultural programs, and improve the enjoyment of life for the community.
The Mayor's Office and the Office of Community Services appoint a number of boards and commissions in order to better serve our citizens and community. Please visit the sites to the left to learn more about each topic, board or commission. 
The Community Development Division is administered through the Office of Community Services.  It offers a variety of programs that contribute to neighborhood revitalization within the City of Lake Charles. Also administered through this office is the Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnership Program funding through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), in order to benefit low and moderate-income residents.
