RYAN STREET EXIT RAMP NOW OPEN
The I-10 Ryan Street exit ramp project has been completed and is now open. The new configuration of the Ryan Street exit ramp, on I-10 in downtown Lake Charles, includes both eastbound and westbound service roads and adds a longer deceleration ramp for the westbound exit.
The service road improvements now give Lake Charles a frontage road that stretches from Lakeshore Drive to Opelousas Street and will further advance the City’s commitment to making Lake Charles a regional retail/commerce hub.
“This $4.9 million construction project is a great example of what can be done when government agencies work together. The new exit ramps improve access to the downtown area from I-10 and give residents and visitors a direct access point to get off the busy interstate corridor and visit our thriving downtown district,” said Lake Charles Mayor Randy Roach.
The project was funded by the City of Lake Charles, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development and the State of Louisiana’s Capital Outlay Program.
