The City of Lake Charles will observe the Christmas Holiday on Monday, December 26, 2016 and the New Year’s Holiday on Monday, January 2, 2017. Changes in trash and garbage pickup are as follows:

Trash and garbage scheduled for pickup on Monday, December 26, 2016 will be rescheduled for pickup on Tuesday, December 27, 2016.  Trash and garbage scheduled for pickup on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 will be picked up on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. Trash and garbage scheduled for pickup on Thursday and Friday will remain on regular scheduled routes.

The Wood Waste Facility, the Team Green Recycling Truck and the Nelson Ball Field Recycling Station will be closed on the Christmas Holiday, Monday, December 26, 2016 and will resume regular schedules on Tuesday, December 27, 2016.

Trash and garbage scheduled for pickup on Monday, January 2, 2017 will be rescheduled for pickup on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. Trash and garbage scheduled for pickup on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 will be picked up on Wednesday, January 4, 2017. Trash and garbage scheduled for pickup on Thursday and Friday will remain on regular scheduled routes.

All other services of the Department of Public Works will be closed on Monday, December 26, 2016 in observance of the Christmas Holiday and will resume regular working hours on Tuesday, December 27, 2016. Offices will also be closed on Monday, January 2, 2017 in observance of the New Year’s Holiday and will resume regular working hours on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
