Lake Charles Conducting Public Engagement Event for Transit System
The Lake Charles Transit System is hosting a public engagement event at the Lake Charles Transit Customer Service Center at 1155 Ryan Street to evaluate the bus system in order to improve service. This will be an all-day event on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 starting at 7:00 a.m. and ending at 6:00 p.m. Staff will have a table with refreshments and visual aids setup on the platform to make it convenient and easy for passengers to provide input and discuss how to improve transit in Lake Charles.
The event is part of an ongoing survey to evaluate the bus system. The survey is available at the Transit Division’s Customer Service Center and online at www.cityoflakecharles.com. Responses will be taken through October 13, 2017.
Survey responses will assist the City of Lake Charles in obtaining information related to ridership, travel patterns, peak days and times, individual bus stop usage, as well as other recommendations.
“We want everyone to participate in this survey,” said Mayor Nic Hunter. “We know our system can be improved and expanded, and your participation will ensure that your voice is heard, so that we can make riding the bus a more pleasant and reliable experience.”
