City of Lake Charles Water Division Customers Asked to Conserve Water
The City of Lake Charles Water Division is asking residents to voluntarily conserve water over the next two days in order to help rebuild water pressure within the City.
“Water usage is high because pipes have burst due to the freezing weather. In addition, residents are keeping faucets running to prevent pipes from freezing,” said City Administrator John Cardone. “When temperatures are above freezing, all running faucets should be turned off. Doing this will help rebuild water pressure in our system.”
Temperatures are expected to dip below freezing again tonight, and faucets only need to run a steady drip to avoid freezing.
