The deadline to apply for FEMA’s Private Property Debris Removal (PPDR) for City of Lake Charles residents is Friday, July 15, 2022.

The program, which encompasses the removal of potentially eligible storm-generated debris from private property and the demolition of potentially eligible storm-damaged homes, has been open for applications since last summer. 

During this time City Inspectors have proactively conducted multiple sweeps of the City to identify potentially eligible properties and to work with property owners on the process filing their applications for the programs.
