On Thursday, March 7, from 9 am – 6 pm, the City of Lake Charles and United Way of Southwest Louisiana are teaming up to host a Christmas in March Community Toy Drive at the Lake Charles Event Center (900 Lakeshore Dr.).

The community is invited to drive through the front circle and drop off a new, unwrapped, and still in its original packaging, toy. Volunteers will be on hand to collect the donations, making drop off efficient and convenient. 

Toys collected will be distributed through a nonprofit partner in December. Details on the nonprofit partner and the registration process will be announced at a scheduled news conference on Thursday morning.
