The public is invited to attend the “swearing-in” ceremony of Mayor-elect Marshall J. Simien, Jr., and the Lake Charles City Council on Monday, June 30, 2025. The ceremony will take place in the Sudduth Coliseum located inside the Lake Charles Event Center (900 Lakeshore Dr.) beginning at 6:30 pm.

The newly-elected City Council members include: Ronnie Harvey, Jr., Donald Fondel, Tommy Bilbo, Matthew “Matt” Young, Stuart Weatherford, Craig Marks and Matthew Vezinot. 

The term of office for Mayor-elect Simien and all seven members of the Lake Charles City Council will begin on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
