Red, White, Blue & You 2025 Announced | All Day Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza
The City of Lake Charles is proud to announce the return of its annual Red, White, Blue & You Celebration on Friday, July 4, 2025. This is a FREE family-friendly event filled with all-day activities for all ages. Fill the Arcade Amphitheater with lawn chairs and blankets for a patriotic concert, Armed Forces Salute, food trucks, live music entertainment, and a fireworks finale over the lake. This year’s festival kicks off local programming in celebration of America250.
The celebration includes all-day games and activities at North Beach provided by Games2Life. At the Arcade Amphitheater, attendees will kick off the day with a Hot Dog Cook Off at 3:30pm, Dani Lacour’s full band takes the stage at 4:30pm, enjoy a patriotic program and concert from the Lake Charles Community Band at 6:15pm, and L.A. ROXX closes the concert from 7:30pm – 9:00pm. But that’s not all! At 9:00pm, turn your gaze to the First Federal Bank of Louisiana for a patriotic Glow Show, then enjoy a jaw-dropping firework display over the lake at 9:15pm. For both shows, tune into KBYS 88.3 FM on your car radio or listening device for the soundtrack simulcast.
Festival goers can enjoy some of Lake Charles’ favorite food trucks, lemonade stands, and ice cream trucks. The City of Lake Charles’ Parks and Recreation department will host competitive Olympic-style games in Millennium Park from 3:00pm – 7:00pm. The Mayor's Armed Forces Commission Queens will be selling festival t-shirts. Spectators are encouraged to bring their blankets, lawn chairs, and ice chests, but glass is strictly prohibited. If inclement weather prevails, the program will be moved to the Event Center Coliseum.
The City of Lake Charles is also excited to announce the winner of its Red, White, Blue & You logo design contest. Trinity Tieu, a student at SOWELA Technical Community College, was selected as this year’s winner. The logo design contest is a staple semester project under the direction of SOWELA instructor Darrell Buck.
