The City of Lake Charles is inviting the community to support local schools by participating in a Back-to-School Hygiene Products Drive.
New and unused items being accepted include deodorant, bar soap, lotion, hairbrushes and combs, shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste, floss, socks, and feminine hygiene products. Smaller, travel-sized items are preferred for ease of storage and distribution to students.
From Aug. 25 through Sept. 15, the community can drop off donations at Lake Charles City Hall (326 Pujo St.) during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
All donations collected will be provided to schools within the City of Lake Charles to be distributed by school personnel to students in need.
