City of Lake Charles Announces Fourth Quarter 2025 Partners in Parks Events
From haunted strolls and plaid-themed skate nights to magical Christmas celebrations, the City of Lake Charles is rolling out a holiday lineup that’s merry, bright and full of fun quarter Partners in Parks events.
The schedule begins on Friday, Oct. 3, with a Nature in Focus Bat Walk at Riverside Park (1701 Fitzenreiter Rd.) from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
On Saturday, Oct. 11, Halloween goes
to the dogs with the annual Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest scheduled from 10 a.m. – noon at Bark du Lac Dog Park (111 West Pine St.).
On Saturday, Oct. 18, head to Grace Medora Park (2720 Medora St.) for a Spooktacular Art in the Park from 10 a.m. – noon.
Things will get a little ghoulish on Saturday, Oct. 25, as Ghost Port: Haunted House makes its way onto the City’s park programming scene. Head out to Gossport Park (1619 Cessford St.) from 6-8 p.m. for a spooky good time.
October will wrap up with the return of The Great Pumpkin Trail at Tuten Park from Oct. 24-26, open daily from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
November will launch with high-flying fun as Pumpkin Chunkin’ returns on Nov. 1. On Friday, Nov. 7, a plaid-themed skate night will roll through the Lake Charles Event Center, followed by a family movie night at LaGrange Soccer Park on Friday, Nov. 21.
November will wrap up with the City ushering in the Christmas holiday season as at the Light up the Lake Christmas Festival on Saturday, Nov. 29.
The City will close out the year with a Christmas Ornament Workshop on Saturday, Dec. 13; a Christmas Movie Night on Saturday, Dec. 20’ and a Winter Wonderland Skate Night on Saturday, Dec. 29.
Finally, don’t miss out on Chuck the Holiday Train as it rolls through Millennium Park each Saturday before Christmas in December.
