On Sunday, Nov. 2, novice kayakers are invited to launch into adventure with Kayaking for Beginners at Riverside Park (1701 Fitzenreiter Rd.) from 3-5 p.m.
The City of Lake Charles is teaming up with Bayou Glamping and Lake Charles Coca-Cola to help aspiring kayakers discover the joy of kayaking.
The lessons are free and participants are invited to bring their own kayak and life jackets and launch at Riverside Parks kayak launch. A limited number of kayaks and life jackets are available for those who need them.
