On Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, the City of Lake Charles and Sasol’s Nature in Focus initiative will present a free event titled Exploring Nature in Winter. The event will take place from 10 a.m. – noon at Tuten Park (3801 Nelson Rd.). 
Participants are invited to explore the trails of Tuten Park and learn more about nature during the winter season from the SWLA Master Naturalists and Gulf Coast Bird Club. Fun, free activities will be available for the entire family to take part in.
Refreshments will be provided by Lake Charles Coca-Cola.
