City of Lake Charles Launches Online Occupational Renewal Portal
The City of Lake Charles Department of Finance is launching a new online portal for occupational and alcohol license holders to apply for and renew their annual licenses.
This streamlined service allows business owners to create an account with all of their business and alcohol license linked under one profile. Annually, the license holder can log in and renew their license, download the renewed license and print it for display in their business.
This service allows for required documentation to be submitted online, and license holders receive email notifications as the licenses move through the renewal process. Applicants can pay their fees online, track the status of their application and communicate with City personnel via email.
“We are excited to launch this new portal that will help expedite the application and renewal process for our local business owners,” said Emily McDaniel, City of Lake Charles Director of Finance. “We know our local business owners are stretched thin, and their time is valuable. This portal will help make this annual process much quicker and more convenient for them.”
For those wishing to apply for a license, or renew in person, this service will remain unaffected. Occupational and Alcohol License applications and renewals are processed Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 am – 5 pm and 8 am to 4:30 pm on Fridays, on the 6th floor of City Hall (326 Pujo St.).
To access the online portal, business owners can visit www.cityoflakecharles.com/license.
