The City of Lake Charles’ Children’s Mardi Gras Stroll returns on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026. The parade will stroll around the Lakefront Promenade, located at 900 Lakeshore Dr. Lineup will begin near the Lakefront Promenade Geese Fountain at 10 a.m.
The parade, which debuted in 2022, is a walking parade designed specifically for children ages 3-12, but fun for revelers of all ages! Children are encouraged to decorate their Mardi Gras umbrellas and masks and prepare to show off their Mardi Gras spirit. There is no fee to enter, and small floats (no larger than five foot long), wagons and strollers will be accepted in the stroll.
Young revelers will parade around the Lakefront Promenade to the tunes of the Second Line, provided by local high school marching bands.
This is a walking parade only, with no throws, and for the safety of all of our participants, no motorized vehicles, bikes, skateboards or pets are allowed.
