The City of Lake Charles Partners in Parks Initiative and CHRISTUS Health are teaming up to celebrate Healthy Hearts in Action during National Heart Month. On Friday, Feb. 20, from 5:30–6:30 p.m., residents will have the opportunity to learn more about heart health through a free “Talk Healthy to Me” seminar. This seminar will take place at Drew Park, 416 Dr. Michael DeBakey Drive.
Additionally, the community is invited to put heart health into action through two “Walk with a Doc” opportunities. Head to Drew Park at noon and 4 p.m. to take a walk around the park’s walking trail with a CHRISTUS Health physician.
LifeShare Blood Center will be on site at the park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Stop by and donate blood to help save lives in the community.
