On Thursday, November 17, 2022, the City of Lake Charles will team up with McNeese State University to host a free Teen Connection seminar titled The Elite Athlete’s Secret to Recruitment and Achievement. The seminar will take place from 5 – 6 p.m. at College Oaks Recreation Center, 3518 Ernest St., in Lake Charles. 

Each year thousands of high school students compete for athletic scholarships and with a limited number of scholarships to go around, competition is fierce! 

McNeese State University Men’s Basketball Coach, John Aiken, will join this Teen Connection to speak with aspiring college athletes about the recruiting basics, character, social media presence, teamwork and more.
