Adopt-a-Spot is a Keep Greater Lake Charles Beautiful activity where at least twice a year, in Spring and Fall, community groups and organizations take to the streets throughout Lake Charles in an effort to keep the streets and sidewalks looking their best. Groups are encouraged to clean their adopted area as often as needed. Individuals, civic clubs, and organizations are may adopt a local city street (no state highways) about a mile in length. A sign with the organization’s name is installed at both ends of the adopted area.  Once an application and agreement are completed, your street/highway will have signs erected and you will be ready to clean! Data cards are filled out at the completion of your cleanup and submitted to the Office of Community Services and Development. This information is collected to be submitted to Keep Louisiana Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful, which utilizes it in national statistics. YOUR TIME MATTERS!!! The City of Lake Charles truly appreciates all of the time and hard work the current groups/organizations put into making the Adopt-a-Spot effort a success. If you are interested in joining the Adopt-a-Spot program by adopting a street within the Lake Charles city limits, please contact the Keep Greater Lake Charles Beautiful-Team Green office at (337) 491-1481
