On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, two opportunities are available for residents to participate in Lock Park Visioning Workshops. These sessions will take place in the Lake Charles City Council Chambers (326 Pujo St.) from noon – 1 p.m. and 5:30-6:30 p.m. 

Presented by the City of Lake Charles, LyondellBasell and Carbo Landscape Architects, these workshops will provide the community an opportunity to view a presentation on plans to transform Lock Park into a fully-accessible playground, making play possible for families of all abilities. 

The Lock Park transformation is being made possible through the successful passage of the LC REBOUND tax neutral bond proposition passed by voters last fall, and a generous contribution from LyondellBasell through the City’s Partners in Parks Initiative.
